C'est la vie

It's been another few weeks since I've posted on this blog so let's get busy.  I wanted to move a few days to the end of our trip and make our stop in Paris, France.  We've heard so much about this lively city from a few of our friends and family and 100% of it is true.  The trip overnight on the train started in Venice, Italy and it was interesting to say the least.  Keep your eyes open and watch your luggage.  That's all I will say about it.  We met a wonderful couple from San Francisco and they kept us entertained for the trip.  We actually spent our last evening with them in the French Quarter and it was wonderful.  Paris in a nutshell was absolutely wonderful.  I loved the architecture in this city, the buildings were beautiful and consistent with its amazing variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.  The cafes I was most interested in because they place the chairs in the same direction so everyone can people watch.  We made some tourist stops to the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe, The Catacombs and The Montmartre.  We left out The Louvre because the both of us have seen The Louvre and The Prado Museum in Madrid.  I was so impressed with the food in Paris and there was plenty of variety to choose from.  The locals were quite pleasant and they appreciated my attempt at French.  Merci!  For those of you who wish to travel to this wonderful city, take advantage of walking through the streets and different communities available.  Plenty of different music awaits you and if you have the time, jump on that tourist bus that you can jump on and off and enjoy the views.  You can pick it up at The Eiffel Tower and other spots throughout the city.  Bon Vacances!
